The "Amazing" Day Out

After walking around the temple grounds for a while, we went over to Milano's, a music store to get some new piano music. Dallin was like a kid in a candy store looking through it all. I think we found some fun songs for him to play and Cauley found some music he's having fun with too. Then we headed over to Amazing Jakes. Oh boy did we have fun!

We started off by eating. (all-you can eat pizza, pasta, salad, soups, desserts, etc) Then we played.all.day.long. Seriously my friends- 10 hours of non-stop fun! Endless video games, rides, bowling, miniature golf, laser tag...  Tyli's favorite was the Frog hopper and roller coaster, Dallin's the bumper cars, McKade liked the bumper cars too, and Halli loved the "choo-choo", "horsey" (carosell), and tea cups.

Let her fly Cauley!!!

This is where Halli spent her time while we all bowled. She had SO much fun playing on the floor!

I think McKade didn't have a very good throw.

Miniature golfing!

McKade climbing the rock wall. He just wouldn't give up!
Heading home well after all of our bedtimes! Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa Clark for such a fun day!

The Mesa, AZ Temple Grounds...

Are BEAUTIFUL right now!!! We started our Spring Break off by heading to the Temple to look at the flowers. I cannot describe the beauty, the smells, the feeling... ok, I can: Heaven here on earth! What a great start to our week!

Funny story: when we were walking around looking at all of the flowers, we smelled most of them too. Halli thought this was fun. There were these beautiful long, skinny tubular orange ones that looked like little sticks gathered around a stem. (not gonna lie- I don't know much about flowers!) Anyways, Halli was smelling them and it went up her nose. She either didn't know, or didn't care and turned and looked at everyone and said, "mmmmm. mells good!" I was laughing too hard to get the camera right away and she sneezed it out before I was able to get a picture.

Chillin

The weather this winter/spring has been so beautiful that we have spent a LOT of time outside!
Both girls had a rough day- Halli fell in the road and scraped up her right side of her face pretty bad and Tyli fell off her bike scraping her knee pretty bad. But, they sure do love each other!

Popcorn anyone? Just a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Basketball. We keep our hoop laying down inside our garage and pull it out to play. The kids LOVE playing basketball, as do the neighbors.

Pine Wood Derby

I am one proud mama! Dallin did so good at his first Pine Wood Derby! He had his mind made up that HE would make his car. No help! Well, except for the actual cutting of the wood (we only have a huge hand saw and after this summer's incident, didn't want any accidents!), Dallin did everything himself. I honestly was worried about the design. I didn't think it'd be fast, but I learned a lot from him!
"5 Guys!" (Jonas, Eric, Cannon, Dallin, and Karsen)

What are the planning...

Dallin's big cheerleader

Of course Tyli found a friend to play with!

Cheering on his friends!

Awards ceremony after the races. To my surprise, and I'm seriously shocked, Dallin tied for 3rd! I was very proud of him, but mostly for his good sportsmanship and the way he cheered on his friends and high-fived everyone each race.

Showing off the goods. He named his car "Flame Thrower."

Silly Mountain

In January we met up with Jenn and Ryan and their kids and went hiking on Silly Mountain, about 25 minutes or less from our house. It was fun and easy and we all had a great time! It was a very pretty hike once we got around the front of the mountain.
Captain of the gate!

Christmas in Idaho

In Pictures...
Staying overnight with Jeff and Jaclyn. THANK YOU!!!

3 of the cutest sheep this year. Too bad Halli wouldn't go on stage!

2 beautiful angels!

A good portion of all the great grand kids. (still lots missing!)

Movie night!

Another BUSY December

Why does December have to be the busiest month of the year? We started ours off with my birthday which included Tyli and I spending the morning at Higley's cheer camp while Cauley and the rest of our munchkins attended the Queen Creek Christmas Parade. We all hurried home to end the day with Tyli's cupcakes and cocoa party (see post below). Back to the cheer camp. To say Tyli loved it is SO understated!!! She was by far one of the youngest there, but did SO good. She was put in the 6 and under group, but most everyone else in that group was 6. (Tyli was 4.) Anyways, her favorite part was snack time because they gave her oreos. :) She also really liked "flying."

Cupcakes and Cocoa Party

With Tyli's birthday being the day after Christmas, Tyli has never had a birthday party. Ok, not true, my family makes sure she is very happy and spoiled on her birthday since we are in Idaho, but she always gets so sad and asks when her birthday party is with her friends whenever she goes to a friend or cousin or sibling's birthday party. This year I decided to throw her one on my birthday since it is in the same month. It was small, but fun. I, the party thrower, was NOT feeling well at all come party time, but I tried my best for Tyli's sake. We made the theme "Cupcakes and Cocoa." We played a few games, ate some pink cupcakes, and had a hot cocoa bar where the kids got to choose different things to go into their hot cocoa. Their mugs were part of their take home bags. Of course, Tyli has never had so many presents, and was feeling very spoiled from what her little friends brought. Thank you to all who came!

The "Birthday Girl" sporting the crown I made her for preschool

Dallin helped out and took charge of this game of memory. On the bottom of each Hershey kiss was a big or little letter that had a match. I think this game utterly confused some of these kids! Oops!

Blowing out the candles.
Sorry- that's all I have. I was too busy running around trying to feel well and keep this party going!

Halli's First Haircut

This is the "Before" mug shot. It was just so fine and uneven.
She was nervous, as she always is, but was fine once she found her hand.

Halli turned 18 months old without ever having a haircut so we decided it was time. I called our awesome family stylist in to do the honors. (My sister-in-law, Stephanie , cuts hair and does a great job!) Both of my girls have had their first haircuts now from Aunt Steph!

And the "After". Steph did such a wonderful job and Halli looks so cute!
