Today I was blessed to be a part of church history! Our Stake, the Queen Creek East Stake, along with the Queen Creek, AZ Stake, and the Queen Creek South Stake all got together for a BIG Stake Conference. There were over 17,000 members involved and that included over 34 wards! OK, so the meaning of our BIG Stake Conference was to take our 3 Stakes and make them into 5. What an amazing experience! I will sadly miss our old Stake President, President Brian Soloman (who is now the Stake President of the Queen Creek North Stake), and all my friends who are in the Ironwood and Ranch Wards, but our new Stake President, President Laws is an AWESOME man! (I served with him at the cannery a few times, and also at a STK. activity we worked together.) I loved the words that were spoken, most of which I can hardly recall at this time, but truely the Spirit was present at this meeting. I remember being told that just 10 years ago there were only 2 wards in all of Queen Creek, and we didn't even have our own Stake. MY how we've grown! I am so greatful to live in this area and I know that it is by no coincidence that we do.
*If any of you get the church news and if there is an article about this HUGE Stake conference, will you please send it to me?
